Leica 35mm Summilux Serial Numbers 61
Nice and rare wide angle lens Leitz for the Leica 35mm rangefinder cameras with M bayonet mount. It's the fast 35mm F:1.4 Summilux Canada with serial number 2221861, c.1966. Leitz code 11871. It's the last version of the 35/1.4 Summilux with googles for M3 cameras. This lens uses 12504 lens hood and it has infinity lock. For it's age it's in nice condition, as is possible to see from the. The SUMMILUX were made at Leica's plant in Midland, Ontario, Canada through about 1990, and then a small number in Germany from 1990, or from about serial nr. The German ones were mostly made as parts of whacky titanium sets with the M6, and use the superior squared LG1050 font. The SUMMILUX-C lenses feature a patented focusing mechanism that eschews the logarithmic focusing of the past by expanding the focus scale in the most critical range. Size Their unique design allows these cine lenses to be far smaller than any existing lenses below T2.0.
