Visit messenger.msn.com. Now download the latest version of MSN Messenger and install it. You need to sign up for an account.

In the USB port of your pc, plug the USB cable of your camera along with your microphone.

Now insert the software CD that comes with camera in the CD-rom of your computer. The program will automatically run and follow the guidelines to install the software. If you're a Windows 7 users, you might not need to do this as it will be set by default.

Find a person in your contact list to whom you want to make a video call. If the person is not in your contact list, search him and append him in your contact list.
Note: To add a person in your contact list, open MSN Messenger and select “Add a contact”. You can only have conversation with the person once he has accepted your request and is online.

In order to adjust Audio/Video settings, click on the tool in the drop down menu in MSN Messenger interface. Select Audio/Video Tuning Wizard. Now follow the directions to locate your camera and microphone device. Ask your friend to do the same.
